The Intel Xeon Gold 5317 is a high-performance 3rd Gen server/workstation processor, designed to power enterprise workloads, virtualization, and mission-critical applications. Launched in April 2021, this CPU belongs to Intel&rsquos Xeon Gold lineup, based on the Ice Lake-SP architecture with Socket 4189 support.
With 12 cores and 24 threads powered by Intel Hyper-Threading, the Xeon Gold 5317 ensures seamless multitasking and efficient performance. It runs at a base clock speed of 3.0 GHz and can boost up to 3.6 GHz depending on workload demands. For even higher scalability, up to two Xeon Gold 5317 processors can be combined in a multi-processor (SMP) configuration.
Featuring 18MB of L3 cache, an 8-channel DDR4 memory controller, and support for up to 2933 MT/s ECC memory, this processor delivers stability and performance that enterprises rely on.
